The XDR-E series (75-960W), launched in April 2025, quickly gained wide recognition in the market due to its excellent price-performance ratio and wide model range. Shortly after its launch, the series received a significant number of orders, confirming its high competitiveness. Today, these power supplies are widely used in industrial automation, energy infrastructure, renewable energy equipment, network switches and semiconductor manufacturing equipment.

To meet the needs of applications with increased performance requirements and harsh environments, MEAN WELL has introduced the premium flagship XDR series (75-960W). With the launch of this line, along with the XDR-E series, the manufacturer now offers two product levels - premium and cost-optimized, providing the market with a wider and more diverse choice of power solutions.
Compared to previous generations of SDR/NDR/EDR, which have been on the market for over 10 years, the new XDR/XDR-E series offer:
- more compact dimensions,
- wider model range,
- improved technical characteristics,
- more security certifications,
- longer warranty period.
Overall, the new generation demonstrates significant improvements over the previous series (see comparison table for details). XDR / XDR-E power supplies can directly replace previous models. Customers can choose between the flagship XDR series or the cost-effective XDR-E series depending on their performance requirements and application conditions, achieving high efficiency, optimal cost and increasing the competitiveness of their systems.
